Job Summary
The successful candidate will join our Supply Chain Department as an Assistant Manager for Procurement. They will report to the Director of Procurement and ensure that sourcing strategies are executed while identifying cost savings opportunities for company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all suppliers engaged are on the company's registered suppliers list and manage the onboarding of new suppliers with appropriate pre-approval and compliance with pre-qualification and due diligence requirements
- Maintain a continuous, effective, and efficient procurement process for all company goods and services
- Negotiate and ensure competitive balance between cost, delivery timescale, and quality for all purchases
- Ensure purchase orders (POs) and purchasing contracts are issued in accordance with AirtelTigo's procurement policy, procedures, and processes
- Maintain proper filing and monthly tracking systems for the status of all POs and contracts issued, with updates provided to relevant department heads and project leads
- Participate in the preparation of monthly reports including commitments and cost analysis, as well as internal control requirements and audit tasks
- Serve as the initial point of escalation for supplier-related issues
- Assist in the execution of relevant internal controls
- Perform other duties and projects as required or assigned
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Procurement & Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in procurement and/or related fields (preferably in the telecommunications industry)
