Assistant Internal Auditor at Kintampoo Rural Bank Limited

Job Summary

Kintampoo Rural Bank Limited is seeking qualified professionals to fill the position of Assistant Internal Auditor. In this role, you will assist the internal auditor in establishing an effective and adequate internal control system to ensure that resources are safeguarded, records are accurately and reliably kept, and work is done efficiently and effectively in compliance with the bank's policies, banking regulations, and internal standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the internal auditor in ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Banking Laws, the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), as well as directives and procedures established by the Bank of Ghana, ARV Apex Bank Ltd, and bank policies
• Appraise the effectiveness of internal controls in place from time to time and propose new controls for consideration by the internal auditor
• Take active part in the preparation of draft reports and assume an active role in discussions of recommendations and remedial actions with appropriate levels of management
• Help create a control environment that will detect and prevent fraud
• Design work papers that clearly document the evidence of audit work performed and conclusions drawn
• Participate in field work as appropriate to ensure quality of staff work and procedures
• Follow up on previous findings to ensure that corrective actions have been taken
• Deputise for the Head of Internal Audit when necessary
• Perform any other duties as assigned
