Assistant Credit Controller at Mantrac Ghana LTD

About the Role

Mantrac Ghana LTD is seeking an Assistant Credit Controller to ensure the company's financial records are accurate and up to date. This position is responsible for maintaining full adherence to policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial due processes. The role involves managing credit operations, overseeing timely payments, following up on overdue invoices, and collaborating with multiple departments to achieve corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review monthly debtors Aging Analysis, investigating anomalies and variances that require additional explanation and reconciliation
• Allocate and match all payments on both cash and credit customer accounts before the end of each month
• Move all payments on customer accounts relating to future invoicing to advance payment accounts
• Review customer account statements on a weekly basis, reconcile details, and liaise with salespersons to confirm payment and cash received information
• Resolve customer queries in collaboration with respective salespersons
• Ensure credit customer statements are reconciled and sent regularly for review
• Address customer queries promptly
• Review all credit sales agreements regularly and pass necessary journal vouchers for monthly installments due
• Monitor invoice generation and timely dispatch to customers
• Follow up on overdue invoices from credit customers
• Manage debt recovery processes
• Perform additional duties as required by the Credit Manager

Required Qualifications & Experience

• BSc/HND Degree in Accounting from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in credit control or accounting
