Assistant Chief Internal Auditor at Parliamentary Service of Ghana

About the Position

The Parliamentary Service of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacancy of Assistant Chief Internal Auditor.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Internal Auditor, the Assistant Chief Internal Auditor provides support to the Clerk and Management of the Service by:

• Provide technical support in appraising and reporting on the soundness and application of control systems operating in the Service
• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of risk management and governance processes and contribute to their improvement
• Provide assurance on the efficiency, effectiveness, and economy in the administration of the Service's programmes and operations
• Evaluate the Service's compliance with enactments, policies, standards, systems, and procedures
• Provide technical input in the development of financial policies, procedures, and rules for effective planning and control of expenditure and budget
• Prepare an annual audit work plan of activities required to be performed by the Office, determined by risk assessment and fiscal risk of the Service, in accordance with guidelines issued by the Clerk to Parliament, the Audit Committee, the Auditor General, and the Internal Audit Agency
• Report to the Clerk to Parliament any incidents of suspected fraud or misuse of public funds, or where necessary to the Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency for investigation
• Perform other duties as assigned
