Applications Officer at ARB APEX Bank

Role Summary

Enhance the operations of ARB APEX Bank and rural and community banks (RCBs) by designing, developing, and implementing business software solutions, and providing support to end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and support of business application systems to ensure timely rollout for use by RCBs
• Perform close of day activities to ensure banking software is ready for use the next day and generate reports for submission to the applications manager
• Resolve incidents logged in the SysAid Helpdesk Software and escalate unresolved issues to vendors for prompt resolution
• Provide support to users of software and applications used by the Bank and RCBs
• Connect RCBs and Agencies to the Data Centre infrastructure in terms of setup, configuration, and implementation of business applications

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Minimum First Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• At least 4 years post-qualification experience
• Minimum 3 years experience with T24 Transact in a banking environment

Knowledge & Skills Required

• Working knowledge of relevant IT applications: MS SQL, HTML, C, and Oracle
• Proficiency in Microsoft Technologies
• Excellent working knowledge of Temenos T24 core banking software
• Excellent networking skills
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong problem-solving and facilitation skills
• Ability to adhere to time constraints
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
