Position Overview

The Internal Auditor at AML Limited provides risk management support and optimizes efficiency by identifying possible noncompliance and sources of waste. This role is essential for ensuring the organization's operations are effective, financially reliable, and fully compliant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance
• Add value and improve the organization's operations by advising management and the Board of Directors on execution strategies
• Evaluate the adequacy of process design and effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives
• Identify financial risks and offer recommendations to reduce risk and prevent fraud
• Determine ways to cut costs and improve profitability across all company areas
• Audit all forms of expenses and revenue streams to ensure compliance
• Effectively audit day-to-day transactions in accounting systems
• Perform internal audits of financial and departmental operations
• Audit daily operations and suggest improvements
• Examine the validity and reliability of financial, accounting, and other data; advise on deviations
• Implement internal audit tasks in areas of risk management and internal control
• Present findings to management in reports and presentations
• Provide annual audits of all departments with improvement recommendations
• Perform other duties assigned by management

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Financial Accounting or Financial Management (essential)
• Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant or at Final Level (ACCA, ICA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Three years of work experience in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of Ghana tax regulations (essential)
• Membership in CIT or IIA Ghana (advantageous)
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
