Position Overview
We are seeking an Administrative and Accounting Assistant to join our team in Accra. The Assistant will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to various departments while also assisting with basic accounting tasks. This is a full-time fixed-term position requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in administrative tasks and basic accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including scheduling meetings, answering phones, and managing correspondence
- Assist with basic accounting tasks, such as processing invoices, expense reports, and payroll
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including tracking expenses and monitoring budget variances
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff and executives as needed
- Manage office supplies inventory and order replacements as needed
- Assist in the coordination of office events, meetings, and conferences
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
