Account Officer – Fixed Asset at AT Ghana

Job Function

The successful candidate will join our Finance Department as an Account Officer for Fixed Assets. This individual will report to the Fixed Assets Manager and will be responsible for capitalizing all assets that meet the capitalization criteria as per company policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an Assets addition report at each reporting date
• Initiate and process asset write-offs as per policy and International Financial Reporting Standards
• Reconcile Fixed Asset Register with General Ledger
• Prepare all relevant Property Plant and Equipment Disclosure Schedules
• Process fixed assets disposal as per company policy and applicable IFRS Standards
• Maintain a Schedule for Capital Work in Progress balances
• Provide for impairment on CWIP items as per policy
• Assess, process and document Asset Retirement Obligations where required
• Maintain a detailed Assets retirement report
• Process Depreciation of Assets at each reporting date
• Provide variance analysis for all Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts as assigned

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree (Knowledge of core accounting is an added advantage)
• Minimum three (3) to six (6) years of experience in a related/relevant field
• Part Professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ICAG
• Proficient user of MS Office suites with emphasis on Excel
