Vice Rector, Community and Public Health at Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives

Job Purpose

To assist the Rector in performing leadership functions and oversee academic and administrative activities of the Community and Public Health Division to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Job Summary

• Assist the Rector to perform leadership functions and oversee the day-to-day running of the academic and administrative activities of the Community and Public Health Division
• Lead in developing and implementing administrative and academic policies of the Community and Public Health Division
• Supervise and coordinate operational activities in the division
• Provide exemplary leadership for the achievement of the division's objectives
• Ensure the maintenance and sustenance of academic and professional standards
• Provide direction in academic, research and operational policies of the division
• Ensure the development of the capabilities, skills and knowledge of staff in the division
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the Rector

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Master's degree in Public Health or an equivalent discipline
• Professional qualification as a Public Health Nurse, Community Health Nurse, or equivalent professional discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in public service, of which 7 years must have been acquired at a senior management level
• Fellowship of Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives (GCNM)
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
