Position Overview
The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified employees for appointment as Valuation and Estate Surveyor within the Estate Management Division, Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD).

Reports to: Deputy Director, Estate Management Division, PDMSD
About the Role
The Estate Management and Maintenance Division oversees the management of the University's real estate assets, ensuring their optimal use and providing professional advice on property-related matters. In this position, you will assess the value of properties, manage leases, oversee land transactions, and advise on estate development.
The role involves coordinating the process of procuring, managing, and delivering property improvement projects across the University, as well as administering and managing land portfolios across multiple regions, while working with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure assignments are delivered to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inventory and documentation of properties
- Oversee building maintenance operations
- Manage rental agreements and property valuations
- Allocate and optimize space utilization
- Perform land inventory and documentation
- Develop and implement land use planning strategies
- Manage boundary protection, demarcation, and surveying activities
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Handle land acquisition and disposal processes
- Administer lease management agreements
- Incorporate environmental sustainability considerations into operations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Land Economy, Estate Management, Surveying, or a related field
- Professional certification or membership in relevant professional bodies
