Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Transport Officer to join our team. As a Transport Officer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to and from project sites. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing transportation efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination

• Plan and coordinate the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to project sites
• Collaborate with the Head of Administration, site managers, site supervisors, and other relevant stakeholders to determine transportation needs

Fleet Management

• Coordinate and manage a fleet of vehicles, including trucks and specialized construction equipment
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of the company's vehicle fleet
• Schedule regular maintenance checks for all vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition

Regulatory Compliance

• Stay informed about and ensure compliance with local and state transportation regulations
• Obtain and renew necessary permits and licences for all transportation activities as required

Safety and Risk Management

• Implement and enforce safety protocols for transportation activities
• Conduct regular safety training
