Technical Agent at Maersk

About the Role

Maersk Ghana is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Agent for our Tema facility. In this position, you will ensure optimal management of all logistical resources to execute operations within contractual deadlines, maintaining efficiency and adhering to prescribed security conditions set by APM Terminal.

You will serve as the primary coordinator of physical operations execution for the fleet department and manage documentation preparation for billing purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process operational planning and equipment availability information
• Coordinate with CX/Depot/OCL departments to obtain required files
• Organize and assign drivers to different operations
• Monitor and maintain constant communication with drivers to ensure smooth operation execution
• Address operational challenges promptly and minimize delays
• Anticipate potential operational challenges to reduce operational impact
• Minimize truck idle time and optimize resource utilization
• Prepare all billing-related data and documentation
• Maintain proper archiving of documentation
• Report any incidents occurring during the shift
• Prepare and submit final shift activity reports (feedback reports) to the fleet supervisor

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Shipping, Transport, or Logistics
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Shipping, Transport, or Logistics
• Knowledge of road transportation operations
• Conversational English level with fluency in French
