Job Summary

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality education to students while taking on additional responsibilities that support and enhance the overall academic and operational functions of the school. This role includes mentoring junior teachers, contributing to curriculum development, and leading initiatives to improve educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum
• Develop and refine curriculum materials and teaching methods in collaboration with colleagues
• Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate them into teaching strategies

Professional Leadership and Mentoring

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and new teachers
• Lead professional development sessions and workshops
• Observe and provide constructive feedback to peers to foster professional growth

Classroom Management

• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Implement school-wide behaviour policies and procedures
• Address and resolve significant classroom management issues, supporting junior teachers as needed

Assessment and Student Progress

• Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress
• Analyze assessment data to inform instructional practices
• Ensure consistent and fair evaluation standards across the grade level or subject area

Student Support

• Identify and support students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with special education staff and counsellors to meet individual student needs
