Position Overview
The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified employees for appointment as Site Engineer within the Physical Development Planning and Transport Division, Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD).
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Deputy Director, Physical Development Planning and Transport Division Directorate, PDMSD
Job Role
The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing construction and infrastructure projects within the University of Ghana, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and timely completion of projects. The role requires technical expertise in construction management, site management, and quality control.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field in the built environment
- Professional certification in Construction Technology Management (IET-GH or GHIE)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in site engineering and construction supervision
- Experience overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in an academic or institutional setting
- Master's Degree in Construction Technology Management (advantageous)
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, material testing, and quality assurance
- Proficiency in engineering software
