About the Obuasi Gold Mine

AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited's Obuasi Gold Mine is nearing completion of its redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient, and long-term profitable operation. The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and is designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 tonnes per day of ore.

Role Purpose

The Shiftboss is a regulatory mandated role responsible for leading Quality Assurance and Control operations while ensuring compliance with mining and related legislation. This position manages all risks associated with underground mining ore extraction, material handling, and underground construction activities to meet required mine and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess risks for all tasks and ensure they are controlled before and during task execution
• Report all incidents and ensure investigations are completed with corrective actions implemented on time
• Act on all corrective actions assigned to you or under your jurisdiction
