Job Purpose

To provide technical and operational support for the effective and efficient performance of the procurement functions of the commission.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collate data for the formulation of policies
• Implement, monitor and evaluate programmes and activities of the unit
• Develop procurement manuals and procedures for the commission
• Develop, maintain and update the database of suppliers, contractors and service providers as well as the procurement activities of the commission
• Prepare annual and other periodic reports of the procurement functions to the Public Procurement Commission (PPA) through the Head of Entity
• Manage stores and the disposal of assets in accordance with laid down procedures and regulations
• Prepare annual and other periodic reports of the unit
• Supervise and appraise performance of subordinate staff

Qualifications and Experience Required

• A minimum of Master's degree in Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, or any other related disciplines from an accredited tertiary institution
• Must be a chartered member of a recognised and relevant professional body (e.g., CIPS)
• A minimum of 4 years of post-bachelor's or equivalent professional work experience in a reputable organisation
