Senior Communications Officer at Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC)

Position Overview

The Senior Communications Officer will assist in managing all KAIPTC's creative processes from conceptualization to delivery. This role will work collaboratively across various departments to develop professionally written content and quality communicative materials in accordance with KAIPTC's corporate image, policies, standards, and brand guidelines. The position will also provide support to enhance market visibility of the Centre's products and services.

Department & Reporting Structure

• Department: Policy, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Department (PPMED)
• Reports to: Head of Corporate Affairs
• Supervises: Communication Officers

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop content including news articles, features, newsletters, corporate communication materials, annual reports, leaflets, brochures, and fact sheets for KAIPTC
• Coordinate and develop stories and articles for KAIPTC activities in Ghana, regionally, and internationally to ensure organizational visibility
• Collaborate with key departments (Training, OOC, PPMED, FAAR, WPSI) to provide communications support and ensure visibility for their activities
• Support community engagement activities and outreach initiatives to sustain the Centre's academic programmes
• Support visibility activities for KAIPTC's academic programmes and liaise with the Academic Affairs Unit to undertake outreach
• Work with the Digital Communications Officer to edit and review content for KAIPTC's social and digital communications channels
• Collaborate with the Digital Communications Officer to consistently review and update content on KAIPTC's website
