## Title: Senior Assistant Marshal – Parliamentary Service of Ghana
Position Overview
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacancy of Senior Assistant Marshal in the Parliamentary Service of Ghana.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Assistant Marshal shall provide support to the Clerk to Parliament and Management of the Service through the Marshal by performing the following duties:
- Carry out directives of the Speaker or the Clerk for the maintenance of order within the precincts of Parliament
- Assist in the provision of safety and security services for the Speaker, Members of Parliament, staff and other stakeholders, as well as the precincts and properties of Parliament
- Perform ceremonial duties involving attendance on the Speaker and the House
- Assist in the formulation of policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate the functions of the Marshal's Division
- Provide early warning signals on security risks
- Collect, collate, analyze and disseminate information to the Marshal or any appropriate office
- Conduct inspections and evaluate reports on security and safety standards in Parliament
- Investigate issues of security significance
- Conduct pre-employment and post-employment vetting on staff
- Provide any other services that are crucial to Parliament's security and protection
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Must have attained a rank not below that of a Major in the Ghana Armed Forces or a Chief Superintendent in the Ghana Police Service
- Must hold a Senior Division qualification from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College or its equivalent in the Ghana Police Service, with a relevant Master's degree in Security, Intelligence or a related field
- Must have been honorably discharged or retired from the Ghana Armed Forces or Ghana Police Service
