Position Overview

A leading rural bank located in the Ashanti Region seeks an experienced Audit Manager to oversee internal control measures and ensure regulatory compliance across all banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of all internal control measures to ensure practices and operational policies comply with regulatory requirements
• Assess the Bank's internal control measures and make recommendations for improvement
• Conduct independent testing of the Bank's compliance programme
• Ensure staff adherence to all operational policies and procedures
• Oversee the work of the systems auditor
• Review the Bank's budget
• Serve as liaison officer between the Bank and external auditors
• Report to the Board through the Audit and Finance sub-committee
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of First Degree in Accounting or acceptable professional qualification (ACCA, CA, ACIB, or equivalent)
• Master's Degree in Banking, Finance, or Accounting desirable
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position in the rural bank industry

Required Skills & Attributes

• Good knowledge of the Bank's core banking software
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Excellent planning, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Strong computer literacy skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage classified information
