Job description
## Title: Research Assistant
Position Overview
Join the Mo Ibrahim Foundation as a Research Assistant and contribute to impactful governance research across Africa. Working as part of a small research team, you will assist in the production and delivery of the Foundation's main initiatives, including the Ibrahim Index of African Governance (IIAG) and the Ibrahim Forum Report, along with other research projects such as briefings, blogs, and policy pieces.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Foundation's research team with core work, contributing specifically to the production and refinement of the IIAG and the annual Forum Report
- Conduct desk-based research on governance topics
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on governance and development issues
- Support researchers, analysts, and senior managers in producing research publications and pieces
- Collect data and synthesize information from relevant sources for research publications
- Support Foundation-related events, activities, and Board members as required
About You
- Passionate about governance, data-driven research, and Africa
- Experience conducting research and analysis on governance and/or development issues
- Strong desk research and analytical skills
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience
