Quantity Surveyor & Cost Expert at IPSL Ghana Limited

About the Role

IPSL Ghana Limited is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor & Cost Expert to join our team in Accra. This is a full-time position within the Logistics/Transportation sector, offering the opportunity to manage cost and financial aspects of significant construction projects.

Scope of Work

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting feasibility studies and preparing detailed cost estimates
• Developing and maintaining Bill of Quantities (BoQs) and cost plans
• Managing tendering processes, including preparation and evaluation of tender documents
• Monitoring project expenditures and ensuring cost control throughout the project life cycle
• Assessing and certifying contractor payments and variations
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure value for money and adherence to budgets
• Providing advice on contractual claims and procurement strategies

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, or a related field (postgraduate qualification is an advantage)
• Professional membership with a recognized professional body such as the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and cost management within the building and road construction sectors

Key Skills

• Proficiency in cost estimation and financial management
• Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
