## Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Role Summary

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Manager, Research Planning Strategy. This role provides support in the implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation activities across the organisation, including technical support for data quality processes, programme evaluations, and review of progress narrative reports.

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement management's approved monitoring and evaluation plan addressing data collection methods, analysis, and reporting
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project M&E frameworks, including mid-term project reviews, impact assessments, final evaluations, and Performance Monitoring Plans with relevant data collection systems
  • Review the quality of existing data in project subject areas and assess data collection methods to establish reliable baseline statistics for impact evaluation
  • Develop inspection checklists and conduct regular, intermittent inspections of organisational facilities
  • Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against established performance indicators
  • Verify data quality with partners and entities operating within the organisation
  • Maintain and administer the M&E database; analyse and aggregate findings into comprehensive management reports
  • Support project progress reporting, mid-term reviews, and final evaluations
  • Identify areas requiring technical support to project partners and entities, and organise refresher training on M&E as needed
