## Title: National Director – Special Olympics Ghana
About the Position
Special Olympics Ghana is seeking a National Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the organization's programme and National Office. The successful candidate will ensure that the organization's mission, vision, and objectives are achieved and will be accountable to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual strategic plans aligned with Global and Special Olympics Africa Region plans to drive organizational growth and expand programmes and services
- Ensure all statutory requirements of the Programme and Board of Directors are in place, maintaining compliance with relevant local organizations, government departments, Acts of Parliament, and legal requirements
- Oversee programme development, implementation, and evaluation
- Manage the organization's finances, human resources, and operations, including invitations, branding, media relations, feedback, and stakeholder appreciation
- Provide Special Olympics Ghana leadership training to local coaches, volunteers, and family members
- Solicit financial support to facilitate the organization's expansion, ensure consistent representation at World Games, and secure its future through long-term planning and endowment funds (in collaboration with the Board of Directors)
- Represent Special Olympics Ghana at national and international levels
Limits of Authority
- Determined by Special Olympics Ghana Board of Directors and existing policies
- Fiscal authority limited to existing policies
Qualifications & Experience Required
- First Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Sports Administration, Business Administration, or Non-Profit Management)
- Master's Degree preferred
