Microfinance Field Officer (Field Work) at Reputable Community Bank

About the Role

A fast-growing Community Bank in the Central Region is seeking highly motivated professionals for the position of Microfinance Field Officer. This full-time role focuses on field-based microfinance development and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market surveys to promote the bank's microfinance loan products and services to potential communities
• Perform community entry and prospecting of clients
• Facilitate group formation to strengthen microfinance development
• Process and facilitate the granting of loans to groups in accordance with budgetary estimates
• Ensure 100% loan recovery
• Identify and assess the financial needs of clients and provide appropriate solutions
• Evaluate loan applications and assess the creditworthiness of potential clients
• Process loan applications while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations
• Provide financial literacy education to enhance clients' understanding of financial concepts and management
• Establish, develop and maintain excellent relations with clients
• Ensure correct and timely booking of loans
• Discuss loan terms with clients
• Reconcile field records and group journals
• Prepare monthly reports for coordinator and management
• Undertake any other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Marketing, or related field (Bachelor's degree is an advantage)
• Fair knowledge of T24 banking software and computer skills
• Excellent understanding of lending procedures
• Strong group formation and management skills
• Honesty and high sense of integrity with knowledge of community dynamics
• Customer-oriented approach with good communication skills in local languages
