Position Overview

Matrix Innovation Limited invites applications for the position of Farm Manager based in Accra, Ghana. This role offers the opportunity to lead agricultural operations and drive improvements across all farming divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing operations, crops, livestock, staff, and financial documents to recommend improvements
• Prepare plans and schedules for planting and harvesting, ensuring staff understands expectations
• Visit different divisions to inspect crops and livestock, and perform tests on soil and water
• Ensure seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked
• Schedule repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery
• Handle marketing and sales of farm products including fruit, vegetables, dairy, meat, and grain
• Ensure all staff adheres to health and safety regulations
• Assist with recruitment and training of new staff members
• Collaborate with senior staff to prepare budgets and financial reports
• Build professional networks and stay informed of developments in agricultural science

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, animal science, or equivalent
• 10 years or more of work experience in the agricultural field
• Management experience (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to make decisions in stressful environments
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for agriculture
• Willingness to work overtime as required
