Position Overview

A Manufacturing company in Tema Industrial Area is seeking a Security Coordinator to coordinate physical security operations by liaising with and supervising third-party security providers. The successful candidate will safeguard company assets within the framework of company policies, security standing orders, and established work procedures.

Job Purpose

Coordinate physical security by liaising and supervising the appointed third-party security provider to safeguard the company's assets within the framework of the company's policies, security standing orders, and work procedures.

Major Responsibilities

• Recommend, review, and implement security plans and measures to protect and safeguard all company assets
• Conduct daily inspections of the entire factory premises, noting security anomalies, breaches, potential safety and fire hazards; recommend appropriate actions and file reports
• Facilitate and ensure the checking of deliveries and loading of items to and from the plant, maintaining detailed records for all purposes including inquiries related to theft, short delivery, or damage
• Liaise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of third-party security personnel on guard duty, including supervision of body searches at the main gate, and ensure physical security provisions and procedures are adequate and effective
• Ensure third-party security personnel are adequately trained in fire drills and conversant with the use of firefighting safety equipment
• Mount special surveillance when required to avert theft or sabotage, set up investigations into cases of theft or property damage, and submit reports to management
• Maintain good working relationships with local law enforcement agencies such as the Police, Military, and BNI to facilitate cooperation when needed
