Lead Specialist, Regulatory – (Finco) at MTN Ghana

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Specialist in Regulatory Affairs to provide expert advice and manage fintech and financial services legal and regulatory compliance, processes, and policies. This role encompasses regulatory compliance related to current and emerging financial technology platforms, ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory guidance to manage compliance and regulatory standards for Mobile Money Limited (MML)
• Develop and drive regulatory affairs and government and stakeholder relations strategy for MML
• Prepare terms and conditions governing MML applications pursuant to applicable laws
• Assess the impact of potential regulatory changes driven by local regulation, industry marketplace dynamics, and legal environment, providing guidance for leadership decision-making
• Provide guidance on compliance with a range of laws, regulations, and industry rules applicable to MML operations
• Coordinate and research regulatory approvals and provide input into proposed legislation, policies, and regulations
• Review and analyse proposed or new laws and regulations relevant to the FinTech industry, consumer rights, financial data aggregators, and regulated financial institutions
• Advise MML on evolving regulatory and compliance trends in the local and global fintech ecosystem, related impacts, and proactive interventions
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to position public relations and communications across multiple channels
• Manage renewal processes preparation including all licenses and activities related to renewal decisions
• Provide timely, concise, and business-focused legal and regulatory advice on evolving compliance matters
