LCS Bus Driver at Lincoln Community School

Position Summary

The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from Lincoln Community School to their residences. This role requires a professional who prioritizes child safety and maintains the highest standards of vehicle operation and maintenance.

Performance Responsibilities

• Drive the school bus safely and punctually according to the established bus schedule
• Transport children to and from school and their residences
• Undertake additional school-related driving duties as assigned
• Ensure children's security and safety at all times
• Operate the vehicle in compliance with all road traffic regulations
• Promptly report any vehicle faults or maintenance issues
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections

Required Qualifications

• Secondary School Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (Minimum Class C)

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience for an organization
• Minimum 3 years of experience driving Class C vehicles or larger
• Working knowledge of health and safety requirements for bus drivers
• Experience providing customer service
• Working knowledge of road safety regulations concerning children
• Experience handling customer complaints professionally

Required Skills and Abilities

• Good command of the English language (reading, writing, and communication)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with parents, colleagues, and school staff
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to guidelines and policies
