LCS Bus Driver at Lincoln Community School

Position Summary

The LCS Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of Lincoln Community School children to and from school to their residences. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to child safety and excellent service delivery.

Performance Responsibilities

• Drive the school bus safely, transporting children to and from school to their residences in accordance with the established bus schedule
• Undertake additional school-related driving duties as assigned
• Ensure children's security and safety at all times
• Operate the vehicle in accordance with all road traffic regulations
• Promptly report all vehicle faults to management
• Conduct requisite vehicle inspections on a daily basis

Required Qualifications

• Secondary School Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (Minimum Class C)

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience for an organization
• Minimum 3 years of experience driving a Class C vehicle or larger
• Working knowledge of health and safety requirements as a bus driver
• Working knowledge of road safety regulations concerning children
• Experience providing customer service
• Experience handling customer complaints professionally
• Strong command of the English language (reading, writing, and communication)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with parents, colleagues, and school staff
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to guidelines and policies
