About the Position

The University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC) invites applications from qualified professionals to fill the position of Institute Finance Officer.

Job Summary

The Institute Finance Officer is responsible to the Rector for the financial administration of the constituent institute, subject to directives issued by the Registrar and the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial administration of the constituent institute
• Report to the Rector on all financial matters
• Comply with directives from the Registrar and Director of Finance

Qualifications Required

• Professional accounting or finance qualifications
• Relevant postgraduate degree
• Membership in a recognized professional accounting or finance body, preferably:
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

Experience Required

• Minimum of 10 years post-professional qualification experience in a university, reputable accounting firm, industry, commerce, or public service
• OR Previous experience as Deputy Director of Finance in a university or analogous institution
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Accountant

Contract Details

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Initial Term: 3 years
• Renewal: May be subject to renewal for another term of 2 years or part thereof
• Maximum: Not beyond the compulsory retirement age of 60

Compensation and Benefits

Conditions of service are as applicable to Government of Ghana subsidiary universities.
