Position Overview

A reputable financial institution is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to lead all marketing strategies, communications, and public relations efforts. This role encompasses both external and internal initiatives, with strategic coordination across banking operations.

Reporting Structure

• Reports Directly to: Chief Executive Officer
• Directly Supervises: Marketing Officers

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute all marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations efforts
• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the marketing department
• Ensure brand messaging is strong and consistent across all media channels
• Monitor customer satisfaction and ongoing service quality
• Analyze consumer behavior and develop customer personas
• Identify community events and opportunities that maximize the bank's visibility while aligning with strategic objectives
• Identify new marketing segments, product development opportunities, and market share growth initiatives
• Coordinate marketing efforts at strategic and tactical levels with other banking operations
• Perform additional functions as directed by the Chief Executive Officer

External Relations

• Maintain relationships with media houses (electronic and print), communities, customers/clients, and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance and stay updated with regulatory requirements from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and ARB Apex Bank

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication Studies, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking (commercial, rural, or community banking preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) certification
• Master's degree in Marketing or Business Administration (MBA)
