Finance & Administration Manager at Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG)

About the Role

The Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG) is seeking a Finance & Administration Manager to lead the financial and accounting functions of the institute. This full-time position is based in Accra, Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the institute's budget, including budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure
• Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance with institute and public sector financial policies
• Conduct financial analysis and provide regular reports to the Registrar on the institute's financial performance
• Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors and accountants for financial audits, tax filings, and other financial matters
• Develop and implement effective financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure transparency and accountability
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Supervise finance and accounting staff, provide guidance and support, and foster a positive and productive work environment
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective coordination and communication on finance and administrative matters
• Stay updated with the latest financial and administrative regulations, best practices, and technology trends to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in finance and accounting
• CITG membership is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Membership of recognized professional accountancy bodies (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CPA, CMA)
