Farm Supervisor at Reputable Company

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Farm Supervisor to oversee daily agricultural operations on our farm in Accra, Ghana. This full-time role involves managing crop production, supervising farm workers, and ensuring quality and safety standards across all farm activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect crops and fields to determine maturity, yield, and work requirements such as cultivating, weeding, and harvesting
• Direct and supervise general farm workers' day-to-day activities and coordinate their work schedules
• Oversee sorting and handling of produce to ensure the highest possible quality standards
• Supervise crop-related operations including maintenance, planting, cultivating, harvesting, and storage
• Assess, suggest, and implement work procedures that benefit business efficiency
• Direct repair and maintenance of farm machines and equipment to ensure proper operation
• Evaluate weather and soil conditions to inform agricultural decisions
• Create and manage work schedules and establish workplace procedures
• Train employees on work site requirements and best practices
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed by all workers at all times
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or HND in Agricultural Engineering or related agricultural field
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a farm supervisor or formal training in agriculture
• Fluent English communication skills
• Ability to work long hours, early mornings, and weekends when required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Capable of heavy lifting and physical farm work
