Director of Human Resource Management at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital

About the Position

Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is seeking to recruit a Director of Human Resource Management. Under the supervision of the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will provide direction and advice in the management of human resources within the hospital. The Director will have overall responsibility for human resource management and ensure thorough monitoring of human resource activities, research, policy development, and implementation.

Job Purpose

To provide strategic direction and oversight of all human resource functions within Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, ensuring effective management, development, and support of the institution's workforce.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direction in the development and management of human resources within Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital
• Lead in policy development, analysis, and review in the area of human resources management
• Advise and provide technical and administrative support to the Chief Executive in planning, recruitment, placement, development, and management of human resources
• Lead in the development and maintenance of comprehensive human resources databases
• Prepare annual reports and other human resources reports as required by the Chief Executive
• Lead in the monitoring and evaluation of HR functions
• Lead in the preparation of budgets for the HR department
• Contribute to the development of medium and long-term strategic plans
• Coordinate fellowship awards for staff
• Lead in the development of incentives and welfare packages for staff
• Lead in the development of guidelines and protocols on HR for the hospital

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management (Master's degree or equivalent)
• Membership in a recognized professional human resources association
