## Title: Director of Finance
About the Role
The Parliamentary Service of Ghana is seeking a suitably qualified Director of Finance to join our organization in Accra. This is a full-time position reporting to the Clerk to Parliament and Management of the Service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of long-term financial strategies and frameworks that align with the strategic goals of the Parliamentary Service
- Ensure that all financial activities of the Parliamentary Service comply with established regulations and standards
- Lead the response to internal and external audits and oversee the implementation of audit recommendations to enhance financial management practices
- Provide detailed financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making by management of the Service
- Ensure that banking, investment, and treasury operations are conducted in a manner that minimizes risk and maximizes returns
- Engage with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Finance, Controller and Accountant General's Department, external auditors, and development partners to facilitate smooth financial operations and timely release of funds
- Oversee the development, review, and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and guidelines to improve operational efficiency in the management of the Service's funds
- Lead the preparation of the budget and strategic plan of the Finance Department
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Clerk to Parliament
Qualifications and Experience Required
- A good first degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any relevant subject from a recognized university
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience
