Position Overview

The Board of KATH is inviting applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Director of Allied Health. This role involves providing leadership, strategic direction, coordination, supervision, and expert professional advice on Allied Health Services to KATH management. It also includes coordinating and supervising research and training of specialist and postgraduate Allied Health professionals in collaboration with recognized institutions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide the development of short, medium, and long-term plans and budgets for Allied Health Services
• Develop and implement systems for adherence to Allied Health Science governance and infection control
• Support, monitor, and evaluate programs and projects to promote clinical care effectiveness
• Develop systems for reviewing clinical outcomes and performance metrics
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams within Allied Health Services
• Provide strategic direction and expert professional advice to KATH management

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent leadership skills with ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams
• Broad knowledge and understanding of health policies, operating procedures, and health sector quality assurance issues
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team player skills
• Ability to work independently, manage workload under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving, advocacy, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in report writing and good computer literacy
• Self-discipline, emotional stability, and conflict management skills
• Methodological approach to work
• Goal-oriented and honest disposition
