About the Position

Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Director of Finance.

The Director of Finance is the head of the Directorate of Finance and reports to the Vice-Chancellor. This role is responsible for the general administration of the Directorate, financial strategy, management of the University's finances, and maintaining the integrity of all financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain proper records of the University in accordance with the Public and Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) and other relevant laws
• Prepare annual budgets for each financial year for presentation to the Council through the Vice-Chancellor
• Advise the Vice-Chancellor and other University officers on matters relating to accounts and funds
• Invest University funds as directed by the Council or Vice-Chancellor
• Head the Directorate of Finance and oversee its general administration
• Perform monthly reconciliation of Bank and General Ledger balances
• Manage the treasury function and develop cash flow forecast schedules
• Manage Student Accounts, Non-Current Assets, Accounts Payable, and Receivables
• Liaise between the Finance Directorate and Internal and External Auditors
• Discharge duties as outlined in the University's Financial Regulations and Governance Policies
• Perform other functions relating to accounting, financial, and treasury services as prescribed by the Council, Vice-Chancellor, or Academic Board
