Departments Within the Dental School

The University of Ghana Dental School comprises the following departments:

• Biomaterial Sciences
• Oral Biology
• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• Oral Pathology and Medicine
• Orthodontics and Pedodontics
• Preventive and Community Dentistry
• Restorative Dentistry

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the School and maintain efficiency and good order in accordance with policies and procedures prescribed by the University Act and Statutes, or as determined by the Council, Academic Board and School Management Committee
• Ensure that approved programmes and functions of the School are duly carried out by members of the School
• Oversee general administration of the School in respect of human, financial and material resources within the established framework
