About the Position
The Parliamentary Service of Ghana is seeking a qualified Chief Science and Technology Analyst to provide independent, impartial, and in-depth analysis of public policy issues related to science, technology, and innovation. This analysis will enhance the legislative deliberations of Parliament.

Job Summary
The Chief Science and Technology Analyst will report to the Clerk and Management of the Service through the Deputy Clerk responsible for Information Management Services, providing critical research and analytical support to Parliament's legislative functions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental scanning to anticipate changes in science and technology that are likely to impact public policy, legislation, and the work of Parliament
- Analyse and publish briefing notes and reports on the policy implications of current and emerging issues relating to environment, science, technology, and innovations
- Support committees of Parliament and the House with advice, oral briefings, data analysis, background papers, and follow-up research on matters relating to science and technology
- Inform the House on public dialogue activities in environment, science, and technology
- Organise discussions and public lectures to stimulate debate on topical issues relating to environment, science, and technology
- Lead the development and implementation of the department's strategic plan to be integrated into the institution's strategic plan
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clerk to Parliament
Qualifications and Experience Required
- A Research Master's Degree, preferably a Master of Philosophy or PhD in Biological Science, Physical Science, or related field
