Audit Officer at G-PAK Limited

Job Summary

A key player in the printing and packaging industry is looking for a suitably qualified individual to assist with the auditing activities of the company. The successful individual will assist with audit procedures to ensure that internal control is working as prescribed and that corporate policies and procedures are being adhered to.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the preparation and execution of the risk-based annual internal audit plan
• Assist in the implementation of effective internal control systems
• Ensure that procurements are in accordance with the Procurement Act 914, company policy, and procedures
• Review, record, and report anomalies in the revenue, disbursement, and invoicing process
• Assist with inventory management review
• Assist with the production process review
• Assist with information systems audit
• Assist with reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements
• Follow up on the status of implementation of audit recommendations
• Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document processes

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong risk-based auditing skills
• Good analytical skills
• Team player with high commitment and honesty
• Keen eye for detail and good communication skills
• Ability to meet timelines
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and regulations
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of Tally accounting system (advantageous)

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Good First Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (ICA/ACCA Level 2) with 3 years of post-qualification relevant experience, OR
• HND in Accounting from a recognised tertiary institution and ICA/ACCA Level 2 with minimum relevant experience
