About the Role

Suma Rural Bank PLC, a reputable and fast-growing rural bank in the Bono Region, Ghana, is seeking a qualified Audit Assistant to support the internal audit function.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the annual audit plan
• Support implementation of the audit plan and any special tasks or projects requested by management and the audit committee
• Test and review all aspects of the bank's activities to ensure compliance with the bank's policies and regulatory requirements
• Review operations to assess whether results align with established budgets, objectives, and goals
• Identify risk areas and help create a control environment to detect and prevent fraud
• Follow up on findings and recommendations from previous audits to ensure appropriate action is taken

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a First Degree
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience, with at least one year serving as an audit assistant
• Strong knowledge of T24 banking application software

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA from a recognized university
• Professional qualifications in ICA, ACCA, or CIB (partial qualifications acceptable)
