About the Position

Suma Rural Bank PLC, a reputable and fast-growing rural bank in the Bono Region of Ghana, invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Audit Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the annual audit plan
• Assist in implementing the audit plan as approved, including any special tasks or projects requested by management and the audit committee of the board
• Assist in testing and reviewing all aspects of the bank's activities to ensure compliance with the bank's policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist in reviewing operations to ascertain whether results are consistent with established budgets, objectives, and goals
• Assist in identifying risk areas and creating a control environment that will detect and prevent fraud
• Assist in following up on findings and recommendations from previous audits that have not received appropriate action

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a First Degree from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience, with at least one year as an Audit Assistant
• Strong knowledge of the T24 banking application software

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA from a recognized university
• Part qualification in ICA, ACCA, or CIB
