Key Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of successful candidates shall include but are not limited to:

• Teaching and curriculum development
• Research, technology adaptation, and innovation
• Setting and marking of assignments and examination questions
• Invigilation of examinations
• Submitting marked scripts and results
• Supervision of student project work, dissertations, and theses
• Offering academic counseling to students
• Assisting in department administration
• Supervision of student internships and industry visits
• Mentoring of junior colleagues
• Extension work and service to the University and nation
• Other related duties assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or representative
• Publication of research findings

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Previous appointment as Associate Professor in the relevant discipline in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere
• PhD in the relevant field of specialization
• Evidence of outstanding performance in teaching, research, and industry-related innovations in the candidate's subject area
• Demonstrated contribution to the intellectual reputation of their previous institution
• Demonstrated capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge through technology transfer and publication
• Minimum of sixteen years of relevant experience
