## Title: Assistant Manager, AML/CFT/CPF Compliance
About the Role
The Securities and Exchange Commission Ghana is seeking an Assistant Manager, AML/CFT/CPF to provide general support in supervising Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Terrorist Financing/Countering Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/CPF) Compliance by Market Operators.
Job Purpose
To provide general support in supervising AML/CFT/CPF Compliance by Market Operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the conduct of Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Terrorist Financing/Countering Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/CPF) off-site and on-site inspections
- Assist in the design of AML/CFT/CPF training programs for Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officers (AMLROs)
- Participate in the periodic revision of AML/CFT/CPF Guidelines and Administrative sanctions
- Participate in National Risk Assessment and Mutual Evaluation Programmes
- Respond to Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) and GIABA requests
- Participate in compiling Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing/Proliferation Financing (ML/TF/PF) typologies
- Design a database of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) within the Securities Industry
- Perform other duties within the scope and intent of the role as required by the Commission
Required Qualifications
- First Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Analysis, Data Science, or any other related field of study
- Minimum of six (6) years post-qualification working experience in a similar position and environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Professional Certification/Training in AML/CFT/CPF
Required Competencies
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the capital market industry, its products, services, and the role of market participants in the securities industry
- Strong knowledge of securities industry law and regulations
- Understanding of emerging financial sector risks and trends
