Job description
## Title: Assistant Finance Officer
Job Purpose
To provide operational support for the efficient and effective performance of the financial management functions of the Agency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect data for the formulation of policies
- Implement programmes and activities of the Unit
- Ensure compliance with the provisions of financial management laws, regulations, and other fiscal policies
- Collect data for the preparation of annual financial reports of the Agency
- Collect data for the analysis of financial reports
- Implement financial recommendations contained in audit reports
- Collect data for the preparation of the annual work plan and budget for the Unit
- Collect data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports for the Unit
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related disciplines from an accredited tertiary institution, OR a minimum of Level II qualification from a recognized and relevant professional body (e.g., ICA-GH, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA)
- Completed National Service
- Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Agency in collaboration with the Public Services Commission
Required Competencies
- Knowledge of financial management laws, regulations, and fiscal policies
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant IT applications
- Meticulous attention to detail
- High integrity and good ethical standards
