Assistant Credit Controller at Mantrac Ghana LTD

Mantrac Ghana LTD is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Assistant Credit Controller to join our accounting department in Accra, Ghana.

Primary Role

This position is responsible for ensuring that the company's financial records are accurate and up to date. The role involves full adherence to policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial due processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor timely payments and follow up on overdue invoices from credit customers
• Reconcile invoices and resolve account queries
• Manage debt recovery processes
• Ensure invoices are generated and sent to customers promptly
• Collaborate closely with the sales team and other departments to achieve corporate objectives
• Review monthly debtors Aging Analysis and investigate any anomalies or variances requiring additional explanation and reconciliation
• Allocate and match all payments on both cash and credit customer accounts before the end of each month
• Transfer all payments on customer accounts relating to future invoicing to advance payment accounts
• Review customer account statements on a weekly basis, reconcile them, and liaise with salespersons to confirm details of payments and cash received
• Resolve customer queries in collaboration with respective salespersons
• Ensure credit customer statements are reconciled and sent regularly for review and address customer queries promptly
• Review all credit sales agreements regularly and pass necessary journal vouchers for monthly installments due
• Perform other duties as required by the Credit Manager

Qualifications & Experience Required

• BSc/HND Degree in Accounting from any recognized institution
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
