## Title: Workshop Supervisor

About the Company

Miro Forestry Ghana Limited is a sustainable forestry plantation developer and manufacturer of timber products. The company operates offices at Drobonso, Sekyere Afram Plains District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, with plantations near Agogo and Mampong.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee our workshop operations and manage the maintenance of our fleet and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service and repair labour trucks
  • Service and repair tractors and heavy equipment (dozers, graders, etc.)
  • Service and repair staff vehicles (pick-ups)
  • Control work allocation and supervise subordinates
  • Maintain workshop housekeeping and cleanliness standards
  • Control and manage workshop equipment and tools
  • Report problems and incidents concerning vehicles and equipment to the Technical Manager, Senior Silviculture Forester, or General Manager
  • Ensure safety of workshop staff and maintain safe working conditions

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Polytechnic certificate in mechanical or motor engineering or equivalent
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office or similar)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the repair and servicing of heavy equipment and vehicles
  • Experience in workshop supervision, service scheduling, and maintenance records management

Personal Qualities and Competencies

  • Ability to diagnose technical problems and provide solutions
  • Strong supervisory and motivational skills to manage subordinates
  • Proficiency in records management
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Effective and timely response to requests from drivers, operators, and line management
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental issues
