About the Organization

TechnoServe is recruiting for the Harnessing Agriculture Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) program, a Mastercard Foundation-funded initiative. HAPPY is implemented by nine consortium partners working across Ghana to drive shared prosperity by creating, sustaining, or improving dignified jobs and increasing agricultural productivity.

Program Overview

The HAPPY program focuses on four key value chains: poultry, rice, soy, and tomato. It aims to bridge productivity gaps by building resilient youth-led and women-led food systems. The program empowers young women and men to enhance sourcing and business models for off-takers, pursue innovative entrepreneurial ventures, support the adoption of improved practices and inputs, and influence the enabling environment. The result will be a more prosperous and inclusive agricultural sector that drives growth across Ghana.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to a portfolio of TechnoServe activities across the HAPPY program
• Identify, develop, and support the deployment of gender-responsive activities to meet the needs of participants
• Build local capacity among project staff for gender and youth integration, and facilitate related training
• Provide support to deliver Training of Trainers (TTT) to staff on gender and youth-focused training and workshop modules
• Support the implementation and monitoring of gender action plans
• Monitor gender and youth mainstreaming in activities and ensure inclusion in program reports
• Contribute to reporting on gender and youth-related issues
• Support the development of key knowledge products (e.g., case studies, lessons-learned documents) that facilitate program learning
