About the Organization

Koforidua Technical University (KTU) was established by an Act of Parliament, Act 922 (2016) and amended by Act 974 (2018). The University currently serves a total student population of 8,500 students with a staff complement of 651.

Position Overview

The Governing Council of Koforidua Technical University invites applications from qualified and competent persons for the position of Vice-Chancellor.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the academic and administrative head of the University
• Act as the Chief Executive Officer and chief disciplinary officer
• Organize and conduct the academic, financial, and administrative business of the University
• Ensure the efficiency and overall operations of the institution
• Report to Council on organizational performance and governance matters
• Fulfill all other functions as prescribed by the Statutes of the University

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Professorial Status
• Internationally acclaimed academic and/or distinguished scholar credentials
