Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Assistance Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor to support the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) implementation. The AfCFTA, established as a Pan-African continental initiative, entered into force on May 30, 2019, with implementation commencing in January 2021.
About the Project
Under the Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), the EU, the Government of Sweden, the Government of Germany, and the Government of France support the AfCFTA negotiation process through technical assistance to relevant African Union organs. GIZ, Expertise France, and FIAPP serve as implementing partners.
The TAF operates as an efficient, reactive, and flexible mechanism to meet the needs of:
- AfCFTA Secretariat and African Union Commission (AUC)
- AU Specialized Agencies
- Regional Economic Communities (RECs)
- AU Member States
- Continental and regional private sector organisations
